Job Description

The Information Technology Specialist Apprentice is an entry-level, hands-on training position designed to provide comprehensive work-based learning and technical instruction in the IT field. The apprentice will gain skills in hardware, software, systems and security practices in alignment with current industry standards, while being supported by experienced mentors and instructors. Upon successful completion, the apprentice will be equipped to enter the IT workforce with recognized credentials and work experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT hardware and software systems.

  • Support end-users by troubleshooting issues and providing technical assistance.

  • Maintain security protocols to protect organizational data and systems.

  • Learn and apply concepts related to networks, databases, cloud computing and cybersecurity.

  • Document technical procedures and maintain accurate records of service activities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT-related projects.

  • Participate in ongoing classroom training (Related Instruction - RI) and supervised on-the-job training (OJT).

Required Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Must possess a high school diploma or certificate of attendance.

  • Basic computer literacy: ability to type and use a computer, tablet or smartphone.

  • Must have access to technology (computer / laptop) for completing applications and assignments.

  • Must provide documentation of age and educational achievement.

A Software Developer Intern is responsible for assisting in the creation and maintenance of software & web pages, ensuring they are visually appealing, user-friendly, and functional. This role typically falls under the broader category of software/web design or software & web development internships. Below is a general job description:

Key Responsibilities

· Collaborate with the software and web design team to create visually appealing and user-friendly web pages, software, and databases that align with the company's brand and objectives.

· Help in structuring web page layouts, including choosing fonts, colors, and formatting text and images for optimal user experience.

· Ensure that web pages are responsive and compatible with various devices and screen sizes to provide a seamless user experience. Maintain a task checklist and review the checklist daily to monitor all web systems.

· Collaborate with web developers, content creators, and other software developer team members to ensure the alignment of design with functionality and content.

· Maintain clear documentation of design decisions, guidelines, and assets for future reference.

· Create course content and upload content to the website LMS. Montor the content and ensure it is functioning properly.

· Participate in workforce training in web design, software development, instructional technology, and etc.

· Attend weekly meetings/ training with SMEs.

· Another task as needed.
